Can't get mysql to work on my new server

    Hello, Recently I bought a new server from digitalocean.com and I have everything setup but mysql. My server runs Ubuntu 13.04 server environment. I edited /ect/mysql/my.cnf to bind it to the LAN ip address but I noticed that its the same as the WAN ip mainly I just want my bukkit server to be able to connect to mysql as its running on the same machine. I'm not quite sure what IP address to bind mysql to. I've tried localhost to but I still wasn't able to login to mysql. If anyone can help out I would greatly appreciate it!

    Try setting bind address to 127.0.0.1

    Let us know how you eventually solve the issue. Others may find it useful.
