Hi I recently had Minecraft and I just got craftbukkit. I put my craftbukkit in my minecraft server folder and I ran craftbukkit. It all ran well so I deleted my minecraft server runner, and now I have my craftbukkit Run.Bat and the basic downloaded file. Now I want to install a plugin but I don't know how! I feel like I need a plugins folder or something, but I don't. I have the old files from my minecraft server, and I got 3 new ones (one including permissions). Also when I change things on my bukkit server I go into the minecraft file server and change It there. Also if you say something about a file directory what is that? Please help me! Thank You!! :)

If bukkit has not created a file called Plugins, in the same folder as the bukkit create one and place your plugins in their.

I then just place anything in there and be done with it?

You need to restart your server after you put a new plugin .jar file in the Plugins folder. Many plugins also require some initial configuration after the restart (and maybe another restart after that), so be sure to read the plugin documentation carefully.

Once you get comfortable with installing plugins, create a folder called 'update' within the Plugins folder. When a new version of a plugin comes out, place the .jar file in the update folder, restart the server, and Bukkit will automatically copy the .jar file from the update to the main Plugins folder. Oh, and the .jar filesnames for the two versions have to match exactly.
