Plugin category: World Editing and Management

    Suggested name: BiomeSettings

What I want: I've been working on a map in Worldpainter for the past 2 months, and this program allows you to add custom biomes. These biomes have IDs, starting at 24. I am not sure how to actually make any changes to such biomes, or if it is possible to change anything at all in SMP.

What I would like to be able to, if possible, is:
    - 1. Change the biome name when viewed in the F3 screen
    - 2. Change the colors of water, leaves, grass, and possibly even the sky(?).
    - 3. Let the biome have the properties of a default biome, while being able to override this with the other biome settings. For example having biome #28 be the same as Desert but with a different name and different water color.
    - 4. Be able to set the weather conditions in the given biome. For example it never rains in the Desert, only snows in snowy biomes, and so on. This would be the same as setting the properties to be the same as a default biome like stated above, but a little wishful thinking for always-cloudy-never-rains or always-rains or even sometimes-rains-sometimes-snows.

Only 1 is very important for me. 3 is sort of important. 2 would be awesome. 4 isn't important if 3 works.

Again I'm not sure if this is doable in bukkit or even smp, but if someone can guide me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.

Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin. A .txt with settings would be optimal

Ideas for permissions: No permissions needed for this plugin.

When I'd like it by: Whenever possible.

AZUMIKKEL WorldEdit can change biomes with //biome <biomename> I believe, then relog

Sorry but that doesn't help me. If you had read more than only the title, I'm looking for a way to use and/or modify biomes other than the default 23.

I am not sure this would be possible. Considering bukkit only allows you to do a certain amount of things. This I could see would cause tons of lag and crashes and errors.

Would it be possible to use biome ID's from #24 and up and only set the names shown in the F3 screen? So then I can paint an area with #24 for example and name it Canyon or the like.

    Someone else who can confirm?

Does a server addon outside bukkit exist that could have the possibility of doing this?

Do you know of a mod that's able to do what I'm looking for?

We do not support mods here at Bukkit.

You mean you don't allow posting of or redirection to mods, because I wouldn't see that as supporting. Either way, that's kind of an unnecessary rule that doesn't help anybody. If someone might have an answer to my question, and a rule prevents them from giving it to me, what does this forum gain other than negativity?

No but I don't know any. We can not help you in any way though with mods as Bukkit does not support mods. Contact the mod developers for help.

Locked. You are looking for a client mod, not a Bukkit Plugin. You request is better suited to one of the many client modding sites.
