Category: Mech Name: NoLore What I Want: I'm not very fond of some of the lore Minecraft has placed on items and can't find an easy way... or any way.... to remove it. Those certain lores include: - Armor Color# ('#726CC5') - Firework Star and Firework Colors ('Light Blue, Yellow, Red') - Potions ('When Applied: -30% Hunger'; 'Poison: 3:00') - Enchanted Books ('Thorns III') - Music Discs ('C14 - cat') - Armor Attributes ('+4 Attack Damage') The reason for this is that I have alternative uses for all above items on my server, and want to put my own custom lore on them. The vanilla lore just gets in the way. Commands: None, unless you think it is easiest to use a command such as /lore remove? Perms: None When I'd Like It By: Anytime, and thanks in advance!
riking Even using the ProtocolLib? I've seen AttributeHider which, well... hides attributes... so maybe there is a method of doing this, but not in the Bukkit API?
riking, What if you just add lore to every item and make the lore an empty String. That might work, would it not?
flaminsnowman99 Nope, that does nothing at all. Fire_Feather If you "hide" the +7 attack on a diamond sword (by replacing it with a +0 attack), it actually overrides the effect - the diamond sword is no longer "really" an actual diamond sword, as far as players are concerned - it does the same damage as your fist.
I assume you are Ploppet on BukkitDev? I have replied to your feature request and nothing has changed to the facts so I am just going to quote right here: @Ploppet: Armor Color: Lore can't be removed without the armor losing its color for the client FireWork Star and Firework Colors: Lore can't be removed without the items losing their color for the client Potions: The When Applied: thing is removed if you use custom potion effects (nbt tag rather than dmg value) afaik and the Poison: 3:00 can't be removed without making every potion look like a water bottle for the client. Enchanted Books: Very possible, but makes no sense because the user needs to know what the enchantment is. Music Discs: As stated before: impossible, is client side. So your best bet is to use AttributeHider combined with custom potions with nbt tags rather than damage values.
mncat77 Yes, I am. Thank you I was just going to check that ticket! I guess I'll just have to get over my OCD about it! Thanks again
