Hello! I'm sorry, I don't know where i will could post this so I put this here ... I had an idea of software... Some player make their building with the creative gamemode to reproduce it with the survival gamemode. Some players work with modelisations or photographies but it isn't easy to respect proportions If some players don't copy schematics it is to avoid air in environment or environment in buildings So i began to think a plan software: A concrete example will be better! I take for example a tree, I export the schematic with McEdit or WorldEdit. With the software, I open: We can see: front, side, top but there is some parts that aren't visible, with a tool, I select one part of the views on the software: it is ridiculous for a tree because it is to easy to reproduce a tree but the software will served for big constructions ... For better organization of builders Functions include: - Zoom / de-zoom without different views - landmark: set x1, x2, x3 .... y1, y2, y3 ... z1, z2, z3 (relative to the columns and rows) - Importing a File .obj or .3ds (etc. ..) [modeling] + "setting cube" with choice of scale. - saves Example, I made a (beautiful) dungeon modeling I'd like to reproduce this construction in minecraft. With the software, I import the modeling: (I have not taken the time to make a 3/4, but is it really useful for a "setting cube" of modeling? I don't think..) I set the scale by reducing or enlarging the grid and then I click on a button "Start-cube". I ajust a gauge to taking into account the volume or not. (-> If the volume filled 3/4 of a cube, transform the volume into a cube/ If the volume filled 1/8 of a cube, doesn't transform the volume into a cube) Possibly: - Able to build with this software / make plans - Can export schematics There is some encoders volunteers and interested? (I am french, I am sorry if there is some incomprehensions)
You probably need an different language than java for this, and don't know how many people know languages that can do this. And importing an 3d file is very hard, don't know if anybody knows how to do this...
