Hello everyone. I am a big fan of an older plugin called War. The link to its page is here: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/war/

It has not been updated since 1.4.7 in March 2013 and it says that it is released under the MIT license on its page. My question is, could I create a fork of this plugin on github, update it to the current bukkit, maybe make a few changes to the plugin, and publish the new version myself.

I really can't communicate with the creator of the plugin because he hasn't been on since March so I'm not sure what to do.

    Thanks,
    Bowman3002

You're well within your rights to fork the plugin and release your own version of it. as for the bukkitdev page, I believe you'll need to get a staff member to mark the project as inactive so that you can apply to take it over.

Alright, that's what I thought. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks
