Horse or Animal Protection via NameTags

Sorry, I didn't have intentions to be aggressive.

 

yeah i didn't know if it was possible at the time to have the tag automatically lock an animal on placement when i wrote the request. Though I would like the tag to lock stuff, the plugin nxtguy is making does lock all the animals. even though on my first test with it, it didn't work for me xD idk what i did wrong.

As for the logo I can change it for animal lock or make one for you nxtguy. Not a big deal. Also I had given Faith a personal message and it was never responded to. So as far as this request is concerned I think at this point it is up for grabs.

 

So Animal Lock is now working for you alright?

Right now, I don't think there is an easy way to detect when a tag is used. Once the official Bukkit 1.6.2 API comes out, I'll try and implement this feature along side the current method. (Config to choose)

nxtguy No it wasn't working for me. I'll try and run another test but my friend on the first test was able to slap my animals around. lol. Idk if I missed a perms section or not. I'll probably run another test tonight on plugins or in the next couple days. I'm currently tweaking things on the server I admin on. plugin updates are always a bitch.

I do kinda like how Stables works with the nametag, though it only works on horses and he has a bunch of recipies and added on mechanics that I'm not really interested in. Idk if you can ask raum how he got the name tag to register the horses. Then maybe even make a compatible build with his plugin to add other animals, maybe even villagers, or continue doin your own thing.

No the API has an ability to check for a named horse, however, no way to check that a nametag was used on the horse? That's what I'm guessing nxtguy meant.

 

Something like this already exists. I just forgot the name of it.
