What Plugins Do Most "Big" Servers Use?

What plugins do most "big" servers use?

 

Custom ones.. And how is this a question on developing plugins exactly?

Thats an extremely vague question. What type of server and what is it themed like.

 

Most big servers, when I do /pl on most it says "you don't have permission to do this" (Never really got why they do this, are they trying to hide the 'admin-abuse' plugins?). Well most has a Permissions plugin, an Economy plugin, Anti-cheat, Anti-grief, WorldEdit, Essentials, and probably a custom plugin.

Gives you a good idea of what plugins are used a lot based on players and servers of those that use this service. Many servers block the plugins list as their plugin setup/configuration is unique to their server and they'd rather not just hand out a blueprint of how to copy them. Furthermore, many servers use custom plugins and I'm sure owners would rather not have all their users bugging them how they can get xyz plugin for their own server...

Set that to the full status, and for most servers it will give a plugin list.

 

It's security through obscurity. If there's an exploitable plugin, troublemakers will find it whether there's a list of plugins or not.

 

Not really a plugin, but Spigot is used by a LOT of big servers.

Virtually no servers block it

 

Or they just don't know how.

 

Most servers use plugins like WorldGuard for Safezones, WorldEdit for terrain editing, and some Anti-Cheat plugins like NoCheatPlus (NCP). Plus some fun-plugins, broadcast plugins and ones for custom prefixes and special chat options. As mentioned on above posts, most servers don't give permission for /plugins so you better search for some on your own too
