Purge old player files on startup

Our server is having an issue with a huge number of player files being created each day/week/month.

I'd like to request a plugin to check the date a player last logged in, and if they haven't logged in within X amount of days, their player.dat file will be deleted.

I would like the plugin to be configurable, allowing us to set how long before a player file is deleted.

If possible, I would like this to run on server startup, but also be disabled through config so if we don't need it for a while, we can disable it in config.

    Plugin category: Admin Tools

    Suggested name: PurgeOldPlayers

What I want: See the paragraphs above please.

Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin.

Ideas for permissions: No permissions needed for this plugin.

When I'd like it by: Any time you can make it.

EDIT: It seems this can be done more simply through a batch file, however I am not well-versed enough in command-line applications, so I'd like to ask someone else to help in composing an appropriate batch file.
I will look into this myself and post a solution here if no one is able to help.
