It is like a whitelist, so some people can connect.

 

you go to server properties and enable whitelist...

 

But in the picture the slot and player count is ???.

 

Are you using the old minecraft launcher, if you are, it'll show up as "???" (if the server is 1.6.*)

Maybe editing the CraftBukkit.jar's version?

From the OP.... Clearly he's wondering how the server's player count is "???", and that happens if you have a 1.6.* server on your list while you're viewing it from the old 1.5 launcher...

I know you can use ServerListPingEvent to set max players to a negative number to give the ??? effect, though not too sure about the message.

 

From what he's written he's confused about a whitelisted 1.6.2 server on a 1.5 launcher
