Help! I can't join my server!

I don't want to be whiny but I setup my server and it starts fine and dandy, but when I try to logging
I get the dirt screen and it says "Disconnected by server: Failed to verify username, session authentication server unavailable!" Even though I can log into any other server. And I've already tried setting "online-mode=true" to "online-mode=false"in the server.properties file, but the odd thing is that whenever i start the server that setting (and a few others) go back to default... Any help?

 

The auth servers of Mojang are online, how comes your client can't connect? Do you use a firewall?

 

Make sure to edit any server files while your server is completely offline.

 

JWhy: Yeah, I have firewall but that isn't a problem because I can connect to any other server, and it's not the client it's the server, That's why I posted this on the Bukkit forums, not the Minecraft Forums.
Kolugo: That's what I tried and they just reset back to the default settings.

Oh, And I forgot to mention before that it's a local server.

 

It works now, Turns out my computer just doesn't like the 1.6.1 dev builds...
It worked as soon as I got the 1.6.2 dev build. But thanks anyway.
