MOTD has question marks after 1.6.1 update

The top server is mine, with the old launcher, as you can see other servers which are also updated to 1.6.1 do show it in the launcher, while mine only shows ???
How do I change it so that other people can see it with the old launcher?

I am, however with the old launcher for certain servers you can see that the server is updated to 1.6.1 , however with my server it just shows questionmarks.
How do I make it so that it shows the update on the old launcher, so everyone knows that the server updated.

Is it possible that the properties has changed to public=false? It was in mine somehow, i have no explanation for why.

Uh, that's out of your hands, you can't do that unless MC staff decides to do that themselves.

I still can't find it, but it doesn't seem to be the problem as alex still has the same issue with it setting to true.

 

i also notice, some mc-lists are having trouble showing the status of a 1.6 server. At some lists, im always version 1.5.2, online with 6 ppl, and another one is showing correctly version 1.6 and x amount online.

One thing: if you delete the file "server properties" solved this problem, but there arises another:

The server version is listed as 1.3, not 1.6.1

Does anyone know how to solve this?

If you see the '1.3' version, you need the new Launcher.

 

I don't know why you keep bumping. It shows the question marks because the server has updated to 1.6. this is more than likely how the minecraft devs wanted it to be, and it's way more than likely out of your hands. let's let this thread die already.

 

No this is a legitimate question. How are some servers able to display 1.6.1 but his server (and mine) both do the ??? thing?

How do you solve this???
