I'm on a mac and having server issues help!

    so i'm on a mac and i've got a server with bukkit but for some reason, i can't op myself and my plugins aren't working either. i've checked the ops.txt and i'm listed under it but i'm still not op. i've also checked my plugins folder and essentials is there but i can't sethome or anything. any suggestions as to why i can't do shit? :/

    make sure when you set yourself in the ops.txt that every letter is correct, meaning capital letters must be capital and so on and so forth, so like, if i used, for example 'Kinetik' in the ops.txt (without the ' of course), and my player name is 'kinetik' it wont work because first letter isnt capital letter, hopefully that makes sense.
