Hey guys, For some reason over the past fews days, my server keeps going down. People cannot connect to it and I cannot stop the server through SSH It appears like it's being DDoS'd, but I'm not sure Any advice? I've tried the usual disabling plugins, but I haven't changed anything in a while so it shouldn't be a plugin issue Thanks Tallon
id suggest speaking to your isp to get them to refresh your ip if your hosting it yourself. if a company is hosting it contact them to change/sort it out
As NoLiver92 said I would suggest talking to your ISP, I don't think it would be ddos'd, it would take allot of patience from the other end and allot of people to make it last so long, it could be your host it could be another server interfering with its IP, maybe you don't have a default port, I would suggest talking to your ISP or host.
if your being ddos'd it is the best way to stop the attack as ddos is based on excessive traffic to your ip
Thanks guys. Will speak to them. I also just realised that there was an extra plugin installed recently 'IP-Check' and I believe that was causing it! I noticed it when I restarted the server that it was hanging while loading the plugin, so deleted it and it ran very smoothly! Will monitor over the next few days Thanks again for your help Tal
