Recently I bought a new computer, and like many new computers it uses Windows 8. I am unsure to whether or not Bukkit will have problems with Windows 8. So my main question is: Is windows 7 or 8 better for Bukkit?

    Thanks in advance

P.S. I wasn't sure if this was in the right section so sorry if it's not.

There should be no trouble running CraftBukkit on Win8.

Yes, don't want to cause any confusion. Bukkit will run in Windows 8

Don't hijack a thread, and if you want help you should tell people why it doesn't work.

AcedGod Usually you should always go with what's most up to date. Unless there is a company recall, you should have nothing to worry about because if there is any problems, there will be an update for it in the future.

Think of your computer as a car and the os as the GPS. Sure the old GPS will work, but the new GPS, even though it works differently, it has updates maps and stuff.

I've only used Windows 8 a few times myself, and it happened to be Spanish Windows 8 (which I don't understand a word of) but even though it was spanish, I managed to find all I needed to configure and did not meet any errors or issues. It's just a matter of getting used to it.

My server runs on Windows 8 and I've had no problems other than normal problems that come up with Bukkit, Minecraft, plugins, and Java. Other than that, I've had no problems between Windows 8 and Bukkit.
