Hey guys. I need everyone to listen to me and share opinions here. Is it really safe to run 1.5.2 yet? My experience has been hell. I had to revert back to 1.5.2. I come home to a shut down server (timed out probably) find out it was some sort of fatal error. No biggies right? I find out that there's a beta build for 1.5.2 and that WorldEdit and SuperSpleef updated. So I replace those 3 and 10 minutes later my server's crashing like a living hell. It literally crashed 12 time in under 10 minutes. Is this fixable? Or should I just wait out till more craftbukkit builds or till more plugins update? Everyone can share here
i have not been having this problem so here is what i would do if i were you. download build 2771 and start with a fresh install of craftbukkit. then add your plugins in to the folder one at a time until you are able to find the one that may be causing the problem.
I figure it would be WorldEdit or the updated SuperSpleef. Not entirely sure since 1.5.2 was running fine with an old 1.5.2 Dev. This all happened when I added the BetaBuild and updated WE and SS. ya the error reports dont do much for most of us who do not code but anyway, i was just telling you how i would go about trying to figure out what was causing the problem. again, start with a fresh install of craftbukkit and then just add your plugins in one at a time and hopefully it will work.
I can be very lazy at times but I think I'll actually have to do this. I've done this before and found out it was the smallest things. Well thanks for the help, I'm gonna try a bunch of things.
