    Permissions 3.0
Rcjrrcjr has been working quite hard on this upgrade to Permissions. However, it currently still suffers from a number of bugs. The most important of these which directly affects HeroChat is the non-functioning of prefixes and suffixes. There are less-than-pretty workarounds, but I'm refraining from fully supporting an update until Permissions 3.1 is released which should include a number of significant bug fixes. When this does occur, however, I have a build ready for you guys that should work. You can download it here. Again, I highly suggest not using this until Permissions 3.1 is released unless you really don't care about prefixes and such.

See you when I get back!

Is your config resetting when you make changes?
If you make changes to the config while the server is running, you need to use the /ch reload command to make the changes stick. I wish this message wasn't necessary, but people only seem to read things in big, bold, red text (if at all).

Have a problem? a feature request? Go here.
HeroChat now has its very own redmine found here. If you have an issue or would like to suggest a new feature, I urge you to file it via redmine. I will be checking this much more often than this thread from here on out.

Thank you so much for your hard work on this plugin! I just have a brief question about something I've been trying to work out.

Is "/me" part of this plugin? I've been trying to disable it, but cannot find any way to do so. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance and apologies if I am overlooking something in the documentation.

I spent some time testing things in your channel and I've found the problem, but it seems to be an issue caused by CraftIRC itself (it's not attaching the channel tag to messages, so HeroChat doesn't know what to do with them). I've contacted Animosity, CraftIRC's developer, and I'm awaiting a response. When I get a chance to talk to look into the issue with him I'll let you know what we find.

GroupManager has includes a wrapper for Permissions so it should work just fine.

"/me" is built into the server and isn't related to HeroChat, sorry.

Hrmm, yeah I can add a check for this.

    Minor update.

I meant for Individual Users. I tried Essentials Chat, iChat and this. None of them seemed to display user prefixes. I ended having to switch to permissions and using iChat.

HeroChat will use any individual prefixes and suffixes found under a user in the users section of your Permissions config.

I'm having an issue with 4.8.4, it used to automatically add people to channels with autojoin, now it's not. My staff are no longer being loaded into the staff channel.

My CraftIRC issues got resolved after moving my channel to EsperNet.

Is it possible to get chat channels to persist between restarts if they don't?

Thank you so much for this plugin. Makes managing chat mch easier!

Apologies if this has been fixed before, I have searched but couldn't find anything. Whenever I put a prefix in a group in the permissions folder it comes up as a double prefix in game. Here's my permissions http://pastebin.com/Tsk40MzL. There isn't a prefix in the groups in this upload but this is what i've been typing in.
    prefix: '&6 [Owner] &6 '
    suffix: ' '
I am quite new at this, so I may just being a nub. Would appreciate the help!

This occurs when you have another plugin that's also adding prefixes to the player's name. EssentialsChat and iChat are two common culprits; if you have either of these, disable them.

    @JakeSheppard
That is above the recommended build of 602 and this plugin has not been updated for the 600+ changes yet....
    @Surfsideryan
600+ broke almost all plugins with the new changes they implemented. Since recommended build 602 came out yesterday, please give him some time to update the plugins he has....

Thanks so much to the devs of plugins!

    Version 4.8.5
    • Updated for CraftBukkit 602

No. What exactly would you want to control?

  21. i just realized i worded that wrong XD
"Is there any way to control the display of console messages in the chat?"

well, for before i updated CB to 556, the console text was pink, and clearly visible (useful for announcements). I had thought it was default (now i'm thinking it was McMyAdmin), now, it is simply white text, which isn't very eye-catching for important announcements :)

That was never something handled by HeroChat and it never will be, as generating colors is entirely OS/terminal specific.

This may be broken for now - it works but the prefix/suffix i see is having a hard time loading in colors. It will be updated (or permissions will be fixed)

See if the issue persists with the latest version, as that specific error won't occur anymore.

You probably don't have 'Admins' in the channel's join: list. If you post your Herochat config I'll take a look.

Is there a way to recheck if the player is allowed in a channel when they switch worlds?

My server is set up like this:

    WorldA
    Permission groups
    APlayer
    WorldB
    Permission groups
    BPlayer

    and HeroChat

    General Channel [defualt][auto join]
    Allowed
    APlayer
    BPlayer
    Channel A [auto join]
    Allowed
    APlayer
    Channel B [autojoin]
    Allowed
    BPlayer

However when a person who is in World B with Channel B open, and then changes to World A they will still be able to see Channel B.
