For a while now bukkit has lagged really bad for some people, but my regular minecraft server was fine. Now my regular minecraft server lags the same as bukkit, when someone joins they lag really bad for like 5 min or so, then they stop lagging, but if they get tped, it starts all over again? (a few people can join with no lag) Is it something with my internet? Using speedtest my download is 30.84Mbps and Upload is 5.08Mbps.
I am having the exact same issue actually. I was even contemplating on posting it. My best guess is that your internet provider isn't too fond of what you're doing and is giving you some sort of low priority. Packet drops are at an all time high for me the longer I host. Though I of course cannot confirm this, I'll be bumping this thread along it's way because I would like an explanation as well Neither the CPU or RAM is being maxed out. Occasionally a core will be pegged, but it is only momentary. Upload capacity is not being met by a long shot.
