    Hey Guys,
    I've been trying to set up my server and such, I've done all the rest Except the staticdoesn't seem to be working.
    I've been using this tutorial, and various others http://portforward.com/networking/static-win7.htm

    I do thsoe steps, validate when closed, then i go to run my MC server, and connect to my External IP, Annnnd Nothing, Just says (In MC Launcher) "Can't Reach Server"

    I have a feeling it is Either the static ip, or something in my server porperties file? I'll copy and paste my Server Properties file below:

    #Minecraft server properties
    #Thu Mar 28 21:02:48 EDT 2013
    generator-settings=
    allow-nether=true
    level-name=Meh
    enable-query=false
    allow-flight=false
    server-port=25565
    level-type=DEFAULT
    enable-rcon=false
    level-seed=
    server-ip=
    max-build-height=256
    spawn-npcs=true
    white-list=false
    spawn-animals=true
    snooper-enabled=true
    hardcore=false
    texture-pack=
    online-mode=true
    pvp=true
    difficulty=1
    server-name=Unknown Server
    gamemode=0
    max-players=20

    If you can help, please do!

    Also as of right now only people in my "LAN" Can connect to my server using my internal IP, noone can connect outside

    It says it is closed :mad:
    Idk if this would matter but i am portforwarding from a different computer, that wouldn't matter right?

    And yeah i fixed the firewall

    I didn't quite understand what you mean, but you can only forward a port to one computer at a time.

    Sorry, xD

    I did the website, and it said my ip was Closed,

    But i am portforwarding and running the server on one computer, and checking the port on the other, but i just checked on that computer too, it also says it is closed

    Is your server running while you test the port because it it's not then it won't be detected.

    Can you put your firewall down for a sec and try again then?

    With what address are you connecting to your server with? Static iping isn't your problemo.
    You haven't specified your internal server ip in your server.properties. Once you do that, your server will
    be setup to your external address if you portforwarded properly.

    Thank me later h8r

    Don't!
    server-ip= is worst thing you can do to fix a server.

    Oh.... k lol

    Alright i tried Disabling my firewall, it isn't working still.

    Wait.
    Ok so in the CMD Server launch, It says as the last thing
    /192.168.1.62:55440 lost connection

    Is it detecting the right port in the server-side?

    And also i have the port set to 192.168.1.4

    Don't mind that 55440, it's just a random number of the client socket.
    I'm pretty sure the port forwarding in the router isn't correct, but I can't tell you anything else than rechecking the tutorials :/
