Here's the scoop. I rented a server that had 2gb ram.
My 1.5 song video got super popular because of the Minecraft Launcher XD
I upgraded to a server with 6 gb ram (plenty) It's recommended for 75 players, I keep it open for 50.
After about 20 players on my TPS goes down to 15. With 30 its down to 10. And 35-40 its down to 5.

I went through and updated all of my plugins. Still a problem.
I went through and deleted all of my plugins (one by one, then all at once). Still an issue.
I switched to a brand new map of the same seed with all of my plugins... ONLY went down to a 18.5 tps with 30 people online.

So, by deductive reasoning, I believe my map is causing this horrible tps lag.
Could it be some sort of corruption?
I've tried NoLagg, ClearLag, other things like that... they didn't improve the TPS at all.
    Server render distance is 7.

Like I said before though, it works beautifully on a fresh map with just as many loaded chunks and just as many entities...

I don't think it is your world what are the specs of the server and what plugins you use ?

This sounds like a problem with your actual host. It could be a bad host, or a bad machine, or just a bad location - probably not that though, since it's a TPS issue. Contact your service provider and ask them why they think it's running badly. If you still can't fix it, you may have to switch to a different host.

also whats your plugin list like? and maby with worldedit /remove all -1 and Essentias /remove drops -1 might help with this.

There might be infinite redstone circuits, those lag a lot too. Could you pass me a plugins list?

I am unsure the specs of the server exactly. I am sure of the 6 gb of ram.

I had the server transferred from 1 machine to another then to a third. Same results each time.
I've talked to them at great length, and they assure me it's my plugins or map. Other servers of similar size are running fine.

I'm unsure if there are any crazy redstone happenings going on. I'm averaging about 150-200 different players per day.

    My Plugins:
    World Edit
    CoreProtect
    Simple-AutoSave
    Buycraft
    PermissionsBukkit
    Lockette
    ScheduledAnnouncer 2
    PlayerHeads
    Wither
    SimplePrefix
    WorldGuard
    MCBans
    Essentials
    Dynmap
    Cenotaph
    EssentialsProtect/spawn/chat

As I stated earlier. I ran a brand new map with all of these plugins (keeping all the data in the plugins loaded) and it ran fine!
I tried running the regular map on just essentials (to monitor the TPS) and it was still very bad.

All plugins are up to date.

I think I may be on the way to solving it though...
We had a map of spawn made out of 15 maps in item frames. I took them all down and the TPS went up to 20 temporarily. But every few minutes it goes back down to 8 or so. Then it'll bounce back to 20.

So could this be an item frame issue?

It's possible, especially if you have a lot of players walking around in the areas where the maps cover (I'm assuming it's a substantial area with 15 maps constantly updating).

Based on these facts, I think what's happening is one of the following:
    - You have some players doing some very lag-inducing things.
    - You have a corrupted world.

Also, could you tell us what version of Bukkit you're running (in case that may be a problem)?

I'm on the latest version of 1.4.7 bukkit.

Taking down the maps fixed MOST of the TPS lag. I have a feeling other areas also have these similar maps in frames, and I'm just unaware of it -.-

I think I'm gonna put this as solved haha
