Failed to verify username, session authentication server unavailable! PLEASE HELP

    PLEASE HELP ME!
    My server that i am hosting is telling me when I try to log in \/ \/ \/
    "Failed to verify username, session authentication server unavailable!"
    please help me i don't understand how to fix it!

    OS: Linux Ubuntu Server 12.10

    Your pc have firewall that might block your server from checking players.



    Oh W8 ... Did you buy minecraft acount or trying to connect from cracked launcher?

    i allowed the port through "Inbound Rules" in Windows Firewall with Advanced Security

    Try reinstalling CraftBukkit. The newest Beta.

    i still get the same error. i even tried force updating minecraft still nothing.

    i looked at another forums and it says that session.minecraft.net is down.. when i typed it in it said Link appears to be broken..

    what is the session.servers is it my problem or Minecraft's problem? please help im really frustrated

    RamsCraft the session server are the global mojang server that are responsible to authenticate you and your login if you start the game. You can check their availabilty via http://help.mojang.com

    Tell 8gigsofram he should close his Minecraft Launcher, and start it again, so that he gets a new session.

    he did... we waited 2 days now... its so frustrating! how do i fix this problem!

    Your server is blocking calls to the mojang auth servers. Fix your firewall.

    I have had this problem for well over 3 months and this entire time Iv been trying to figure out how to fix it, and Iv come to this conclusion: You screwed. There is no way to fix it. :(

    What do you mean by fix how do you ive got that same error ive inserted my ports on firewall and have disabled firewall

    You need to check your DNS servers - find out what is in /etc/resolv.conf - you may need to change them to something else like 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 (Google's DNS servers).
