I don't use the kits in Essentials, but the problem might be what's after the hashtag. For example, in your "Hero" kit, for your last item, "- 49 64 #Obsidian (64)" try changing that to "-49 64 #Obsidian(64)" because the server might be reading within the parenthesis, giving it an unknown parameter. Also, keep in mind that YML files don't read tabs, breaking the config file, which will then lead you into a clean, default file.
