Please help i cant join my public port on my server

ok so when i try to join my public ip it says that it cant reach the host so i tried to see if my port was wrong at canyouseeme.org but it was a success the port was 25565 and the public ip is 184.98.77.155
and i put my local ip into my ip= and it still did not work when i tried to join my punlic ip so please

is this on your Computer if so put localhost in the IP address .. if you are on LAN attempting to connect you need to know your LAN appointed IP or your (192.168.1.?) for the server computer. type ipconfig in the cmd promt to find that. and use that for the IP to connect to it on the same LAN

 

Yes after you type ipconfig into cmd, it should be IPv4, use that as the IP in the server config.

 

ipconfig dose not work but if i put ifconfig it works and i get inet plus i put my localhost ip into the ip=.

and i am not attemting to put it to LAN or whatever.

You could just use 127.0.0.1 if you're connecting to the same machine. Other machines on your network will need your network IPv4 IP though, others not on your network will need the public IP
