We approve eachother's files, we don't do it ourselves.

No, we don't approve our own files.

    EDIT: Wow, I didn't see H31IX's response on page 4. :'(

Why couldn't you guys approve your own files? If you're allowed to be part of the approval process, you could safely assume that you guys aren't trying to hack anyone

Mostly for transparency and no conflict of interest.

I get transparency, but do you mind elaborating on conflict of interest?

If you guys have to wait for approval, we should too. Getting someone else to do it makes sure there aren't any temptations.

Valid point. I always am tempted to mark h31ix's files as deleted.

There's this sweet little ban button over mbaxter's account, I'm always tempted to push it.

It's even worse when you forget to include your plugin files in the .jar :/

Yeah I don't understand how that happens but it happens a lot. Why is it that you could possibly forget to have class files in your jar? Like are you compiling them separately and moving them into a jar and you just forgot or what?

I have to manually choose to include my class files when I compile. :p It's a bit weird. I probably fucked up my settings.

Be patient please. We are all volunteers and have a great deal of projects and files to go through on a daily basis.

  15. I know TnT. Faster it goes the less amount of griefing people can be doing with my exploding arrows...... >..>
    +added permissions....

It may be fine for you to make a few changes to your code the day after thanksgiving and upload it, but image having to go through over 200 of those in one day plus projects and do approvals. Be a bit more considerate.

Sure... that sounds like a good idea. Submit a basic plugin that doesn't do much but you know... works and does what it says on the tin. Then submit an update that automatically gives your account operator on any server that uses it. Sure seems like a ""great"" idea

tl;dr: You aren't special. Wait in line like the rest of us, please.

It sounds rude, but it's true.

Is there a mechanism in place where moderators can review just the changes between versions?

Just curious mostly, I understand the wait time and try to plan ahead for it.

  20. Everyone make a great point here and I respect them All the Staffs and Users Points for View are Good
I suggest we stick with the System Bukkit has (don't try to fix whats not broken right?) I understand that it takes maybe even day for a Plugin Approve But I would rather have a Safe Plugin I know is not going to turn my server in to an All Out "OP" fest and messing up everything I just wish maybe some people where a bit more mature to understand that the BukkitDev and Bukkit Team Have a crap ton of work they are up to there heads in Projects,Messages,Errors,Spam,Annoying People and a there own Lives I am Plugin Developer and I know when I have to make a PM to a Dev Staff of an Error Update or Even a Memory Leak I go by np98765 His signature says it all I do think we need a few more BukkitDev Staff members to help with the High demand of plugins and approves and other things Overall I think Bukkit.org is doing just great keep it up Bukkit!

That has... nothing to do with this conversation... Thanks for your kind words but it's not necessary to go showing people's profiles around because they got banned for something.

  22. They where banned for backdoor and force ops just wanted to show people what happens when you upload illegal files

    Gravity

Yeah I'm sure people are well aware, no need to show them when nobody has been discussing that.

  24. Ok and I'm Sorry for showing it

I get just as upset over a long upload time as the next guy, but it's a completely necessary system. Come on, guys... A little respect please.

Though there's a part of me that wants all the security gone just so you guys would shut up. Careful what you wish for, lol.

I have currently been waiting on my plugin for about 22 hours now. Is there any sort of expectancy time? It seems you guys have been low on "manpower" lately. So I figured I wouldnt hound you guys for an answer on it. Anyways thanks for reading. It seems my account isnt associated with bukkit.org, so heres the link: dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/blockname

Well, I know you are low on "manpower" I've waited out 2 days, according to the post. Is there an estimated time onto to when mine will be approved or rejected? I don't like to hound, I'd just like to know. Thanks for reading this post. I appreciate the work that is done by the Bukkit Staff and Bukkit Dev Staff. :D

Your estimated approval time: Sometime before 1/1/13

But seriously. I'm pretty sure that someone in this thread has mentioned that there are no estimated approval times -- There is simply no way to estimate when it will be looked at. I will be working in a little bit, but there are dozens of projects in the queue right now. Please be patient; in the meantime, you can review your description and categories (categories seem to be a huge issue, see this for advice) so your project can be approved faster.

    Thanks for your understanding. :)

Alright, I'll just have to wait. I had TnT answer me yesterday I need a re-approval because of my description, which was fixed, so that is why I was wondering. Alright, I understand the busyness, so yeah, enjoy it (Sarcasm) :D
