EXP Timer

Suggested Name: xTimer

What I want: I need a plugin where basically the players' xp is a countdown. I need this plugin to disable xp drops so it doesn't interfere with the timer. Each second, the timer goes down, removing 1 xp from the player. And if a player joins, their timer will automatically be synchronized with everyone else's.

Here's how it works:

1. Use command /timer <amount in seconds>
2. Sets all players' xp to the argument.
3. Each second the timer goes down.
4. Once the timer hits zero, it stops until the command is reused.

Extra:

1. The last 10 seconds makes a tick noise per second.

Ideas for commands: /timer <amount in seconds>

Ideas for permissions: Default to OP and console.

When I'd like it by: Before November, 6.

This is the last thing I need before I can set my server public!

Out of interest, what happens to the player's xp when the counter is not counting? Does it all go as normal?

 

It goes to zero.

Like MrBluebear3, out of interest, what is the purpose of the countdown?

 

For my server. Not trying to advertise or anything, but I made a custom Survival/Hunger Games using Skript. I cannot use the chat to let the players know when the game is going to start because I have made it into a HUD. So I just need this timer to show players when the game starts and when the grace period starts. Also, the tick noise is just an extra feature that would be really cool to have.

I was thinking of using 'empty dispenser trying to shoot' sound as the tick sound. Is this okay for you?

Errr... no. Making plugins is not a competition. I am not going to be one of those devs that finishes a plugin request even though it has already been assigned to someone else.

 

You can do it if you want, head ache anyways, and I cant get on my computer in the next 16 hours

Reptar_ for future reference, when you say exp that is the bar, while the exp level is the number. It would be a good idea to clarify for this.

I know this thread is long outdated, but if you are still interested in the XP timer, send me a PM. I made one with CommandHelper for my minigames server.

 

I also suggest that this have an API, so other plugins could hook into it, and use EXP bars as cooldown meter/mana bars/etc.
