Colored MOTD's?

    That's not the formatting that you need to use, replace the & with §. Also, it only supports colors.

    I tried it but in place of the "§" it comes up as a "?"

    You'll need some sort of plugin to do it.

    Then it shows the question mark before it.

    I had the same issue as did Gunnerrrrr. Anything I tried regarding the section sign showed up as a gray question mark. (as depicted in the picture :p)

    Refresh that picture, I had it on my test server and just moved it live, using that exact line I pasted above.

    Like ewized said, wouldn't the text for the color show up on server listings?

    What about when you use the ColourMotd plugin? Still shows up?

    That's what I am using, so without it I'm not sure.

    How do you make it so the letters can be big like "&l"?

    With the plugin you could just use the codes, much easier :p

    Mind explaining how it's done?
    According to my script, my motd is exactly the same as yours and yet no brackets appear around the player count.
