Hi, Since a few weeks I am trying to install a minecraft Server on my Root but I keep getting the problem that it closes at the moment I close Terminal or PuTTy. I tried to use several startscripts but none worked right. So I am a little bit depressed by now. Is anyone here that can help me with that problem? The Server is running on Debian and 16GB RAM and a 4 Core AMD processor should be enought so that the jar can't run out of memory. The setting is already set to min 1024 an max 3072MB RAM. If your server is stopping when you close the remote connection, you need to prefix the start command with "screen" to run it in GNU Screen, meaning it will keep running. Google gnu screen for more info.
