Control length of day and night?

If I for example would like to make the day shorter, and the night longer, how would I go about doing this?
I've searched for a while but couldn't seem to find an answer.

Help would be appreciated

 

You would have to change the time with a scheduler.

No, you would increment or decrement it slowly.

 

You could set the time back/forward a bit every so often, to spread out the changes over the day mostly unnoticably. For instance, to double the length of the day, decrease the time by 1 each tick.

Don't you mean decrease the time by 1 every 2 ticks?
With -1 every tick the time would stop
