Hey guys, I was wondering which is better for a public server:
    LWC
    Lockette
    or Other Plugin Suggestions?

    Thanks,

I like CodeLock, cuz it's (almost) commandless and signless. Though if I had to chose between those, it would be Lockette be cause I'm pro commandless plugins and LWC is glitchy to me.

Edit: Oh and if your not apposed to Spout there is DigiLock.

I would get LWC. I don't know much about lockette. But with LWC, you can have users auto-protect their chests when they are placed. You can also auto-protect ANY OTHER BLOCK. As long as you specify it in the config.

Lwc trust me lwc does what Lockett does but without signs and uses commands (lwc == cooler)

Use LWC, its nice and it doesn't need any signs, but manually you need to set "locked public chest, private chest, add friends) but on my server doors, furnaces, chests, enderchests and dispensers are autolocked to private, again you need to do /cremove and if you want to publicize it then do /cpublic. You can read LWC documentation

    -OR-

    Use lockette. I haven't tested it so I can't judge its pros/cons.

Its up to you which chest protection you want. I think there's more chest protection on bukkit, but I dont know their names ._.

    Both have pros and cons:

    LWC
    Pros:
    No signs
    Very popular
    Auto-locking (could be con too)

    Cons:
Can impede server performance with too many registered items

    Lockette:
    Pros:
    Very popular
    Efficient

    Cons:
    Uses signs

That's why it says can. There's a lot of factors involved.

once i was using lockette and it conflicted with another plugin which made no one to be able to open there chests
even though they had the permission

Our server uses LWC. We have used Lockette in the past but we moved to LWC as it was easier to use and it was more useful.

If you plan to run a big server, I think LWC will be the best option. For the best performance out of LWC, make sure you use a MySQL or SQLite database.
