I'm looking for a plugin that is enable for all players that login that all the blocks they place are protected and other players cannot break them. It seems WorldGuard you have to select your region to protect yourself.
No, because that's a stupid plugin concept. What if someone starts placing obsidian blocks outside a person's house?
How do most servers do it then? Do the admins protect the houses for the people, or do they allow the players to set their own protected area?
Both and one or the other. Servers will do it all differently, personal preference. You can try plugins like "towny" or "factions". (Not 100% with factions but I'm sure it's possible.) Towny: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/towny-advanced/ Factions: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/factions/ Just have a quick read of each and see which you prefer.
Okay thanks, I've set up WorldGuard and WorldEdit, I've also seen servers where say a person house and area is protected but also another player cannot enter the house. Is it possible to do this with WorldGuard and WorldEdit to make it so no one can enter a specific house?
the plugin is called protectblocks and it does exactly what you said but its probably better to use worldgaurd or something of the equivalent there is also ownblocks but that requires sql databases
Yes but it will take a while to do that to every ones home. You have to make 4 regions, each region specifies a wall where you dont want them to enter. Then for each region you have to set a flag. Then type /rg flag <region name> entry deny Then you have to allow them to enter the region (all 4 regions) which will take even longer lol. So yea not a good idea.
