k saving, loading and removing books from database works. Unsigning books works too. Getting books at join based on their permissions ground, too. And infinity signs too :p Source is available on github. I think Ill leave everything based on infinity, because I see no sense to store them.

Next steps: Invinity dispensers and buying and selling books.

I also am very interested in seeing this plugin created for pretty much the same reason, making 1 book with the rules in it and then every time a new player joins they are given a copy of the "Rule Book".

Some other ideas I have for this are some commands and mechanics.

For a command, if a player types /rules they would receive a copy of the rule book.

For a mechanic I was wondering if its possible to detect that player looked at every page of the book? If so then it would be really nice to make it so the player is in a permission group when they first join that cannot do anything except read the book and once they have gotten to the last page they are promoted/moved to the next/designated permission group.

Thanks to all the devs that are interested in this plugin!

I looked through the code in the mcp(Minecraft coder pack) and got there how the books work.

You can type a book, and do the essentials command "/more" and it will give you a stack of identical copies. For you developers, just take that command, (sourcecode found on essentials page) and edit it so that they can only use it for book and quills, and set up a permission system. Why start from scratch, when it is already made?

The idea isn't simply to just make copies of books, you can do that easily with plain old vanilla mc by simply giving yourself more written books via /give command and it will dupe the book you have when you stack them.

The idea is to make a copy of a written book on command and distribute them to players when they join, and so much more. We don't want to simply just have a chest full of book copies and hope players take 1 when they come by.

    2. Most of us will do it without a monetary incentive. It's fun. :D
