   Hey, I want to give my players a lamp they can activate if they want and that is automatically deactivated if the light level is high enough.
   
   It would be great if there would be a possibility to spawn light, without having any block or something that follows the players. Is that possible?
   
   Or any other ideas?

   I guess the easiest way, but most ugly would be a normal torch spawning on the block the player is standing on and despawning as the player is moving on...
