I think that modding the outgoing packets to the client would be a better idea, don't want it screwing up other plugins! Ideas for commands: /cn (name, using & color codes), and /cn player (name, using & color codes). /cn player is for changing other's color name plates Ideas for permissions: cn.self, cn.other
It can be done, but it breaks all plugins associated with names, such as permissions. You need a custom permissions plugin to handle this alongside it. I think codename_B can tell you more about this
