Hey, I am needing a whitelist plugin for my server that can overide the bukkit default whitelist and instead let me have a whitelist plugin that allows me to: - add players to whitelist - remove players from whitelist - turn whitelist on/off - add a permission node that lets any players of a certain group/rank to bypass whitelist - have configurable whitelist messages, so instead of having "Server is white-listed" I can have "Server whitelisted for testing" or "server whitelisted for maintenance" Extras: - Be able to whitelist blocks that players are not allowed to place/break - Whitelist areas by selecting a selection with a block or tool (like worldedit) and whitelist the area so nobody can get inside the area and it displays a message like "You do not have access to enter this area" I have never seen a plugin that can do all this, And I beleive it can help a server a LOT especially mine! I would find it amazing if you could do this for me and many other people out there looking for this sort of whitelist! I appreciate it if you can make it as lightweight as possible! Worldguard does the no entry to areas thing amazingly well and does indeed use worldedit to select it (it's made by person who made worldedit). Also if whitelist on and staff on it then they can join If whitelist off everyone can join I don't really get what you want by the permission
I want a way only certain groups/ranks can bypass whitelist by a permission node even if they are not on the whitelist. But I also want a way to change whitelist messages through a config file. and I would like to be able to whitelist areas so you cant enter them at-all. WorldGuard selects regions that people can not interact with, but I want a way people can not interact and not enter either, so they cant enter the region at any time. its still not quite what I wish, I basically want a plugin that is lightweight and has everything from the above that I put. All of those I wish t0 have in 1 plugin. If it is already in WorldGuard/Edit then its great and thanks for that. Surely the bypass is being in the whitelist. But a idea I just had which is very possible is like /whitelist create normal /whitelist add bill normal /whitelist on normal /whitelist off /whitelist on staff So there's a whitelist just for staff and one for normal you choose the names of it and has a txt file for both! Does that sound like a good idea? Oh and of course editable whitelist messages which is very easy to do. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
If there is a permission node for people who have /whitelist on staff? Maybe if you can change staff to private? and otherwise yes, that sounds very good.
