Tell us what you want, not that you want something.

There are a lot of people that request people to make plugins for their server or just say something like "I want a plugin made pm me!".

It is very difficult for us programmers to make what you want if you don't tell us what that is. Also, most of us don't want a special rank on your server for them to make a plugin for you.

So PLEASE don't just say "NEED PLUGIN CODERS FOR POPULAR SERVER!" or "I want a plugin made" or "**Plugin developer needed**".
Tell us what you want, not that you want something. Thank you

I would agree but when posts with no formatting and really no point get more views its kinda of hard,

I mean look at my post http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/formatted-detailed-guilds-control-resource-points.78340/ I formated and gave detailed account of what we are looking for. Yet no comments and no feedback and it was pushed to the bottom.

So you see yes maybe the bad posts suck, but its whats getting people to post and bump it up to the first page getting more views.

If someone is reading the plugin requests forum, scouting for plugin ideas I don't think it's a huge problem for them to open a different page and have to read the information from there. I'll rewrite my post to have a loose rule about it, e.g. your post must hint at the plugins purpose.

Yeah, but a lot of the time people don't even tell you what they want, other than they want you to work for their server. Thanks!

The point is: Why should I pm someone who needs a plugin? Threads like that are just annoying and a wasting of time.
If they want a plugin they should leave the informations about it in their Thread.

I can tell you for a fact that even though I don't do plugin requests very much I am 306% more likely to fufill one if I see a good idea sitting right there. If you say "I have this really great idea but I don't want anyone to know about it pm me for details and if you make it my server will worship you and I'll give you 53 golden apples" I will leave without a single damn given.

My apologies, I misread the initial post, I thought you were talking about just the titles. Yes, you should have to actually request the plugin in the thread and not just say "PM for details". I'll throw that in my post.
