    BlockWalker - An extremely simple path making plugin

    Version: 1.0

    BlockWalker is an extremely easy to use plugin that does one thing; make paths. BlockWalker was meant to be extremely simple, and there is not much I would like to add to it. The reason I want to keep BlockWalker simple, is to avoid plugin/feature/command overload. It's the same reason I avoid feature jammed plugins like essentials.

    Features:
    * Easy to use
    * Simple install, just drap n'drop, no configuration required
    * No feature overload

    Installation
    Drag and drop the .jar into your plugins folder, then give the BlockWalker.* permissions to the groups/players that you want to access BlockWalker. If permissions are not in place, it defaults to OP.

    Instructions
    Simply type /blockwalker [BLOCK ID] to use BlockWalker. Wherever you walk, the block you have chosen will be placed beneath your feet. To stop using BlockWalker, type /blockwalker.

    Known Issues
    None.

    ToDo
    * Implement Tunnel and Sky modes (currently having difficulties figuring out which way the player is facing)
    * Add support for block names, not just IDs (Stone, Grass, Dirt VS 1,2,3)
    * Your suggestions

    Changelog:

    Version 1.0.2
    * Verified working on 1.2.3

    Version 1.0.1
    * Tested on CraftBukkit build 1337

    Version 1.0
    * BlockWalker released

    No, I will update it shortly though.

    I have updated it, will update the link very shortly.

    Edit: Link updated, enjoy. If I get around to it, I'll add the features I've been meaning too.

    Im running CraftBukkit version git-Bukkit-1.2.3-R0.2-71-gfc93c48-b2103jnks (MC: 1.2.4) (Implementing API version 1.2.4-R0.1-SNAPSHOT).
    The plugin does not load. Exception:
    org.bukkit.plugin.InvalidDescriptionException: Invalid plugin.yml ...
    Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Jar does not contain plugin.yml"
    As i understand, since 1.2.4 the plugin.yml will be mandatory.

    If your referring to the link in the first post: that one is leading me to a dropbox file with the date of 15. march where plugin.yml is still missing.

    I know these updates SUCK.. will you have any time to work on this soon? using voxel right now for paths and its not as easy. but the major drawback is no radius. but I could make it work.

    I get the next 5 days off of work, I will add BlockWalker to my general TODO list. No guarantees, but I'll see what I can do.

    Sir Savary: Happy holidays!
    When You'll come back to this: do us the favor and compile blockwalker to run on Java version 1.6. I think many if not most of us stick on 1.6. (Eclipse: project properties / Java compiler / class files compatibility).
    Thanks for Your work, i appreciate it!

    could you possibly release source code for someone to take this over if its too much for you?
    Nevermind I see your working on an update.

    please see if there is a way to add radius without too much work..

    The "Path" plugin i've offered 20$ for an update. I guess I will extend that to you as well if you can do that. But thanks all the same I can donate abit just for updating the code you have now.

    Thanks :)

    Yes, but after the next update I will not as I plan to include an autoupdater and plugin metrics.

    Deano

    Towards you too, update should be released this weekend if all goes well. I am releasing another plugin too, which is why this has been neglected.

    Hey, I think this is a great idea and a very useful tool.
    Now, is this compatible with a minecraft server 1.3.1?
    And the download link takes to me to a 404 error at dropbox.
    Hope you still the comment! :)
