Currently people connect to my minecraft server through my ip (96.44.148.157) but I would like for them to be able to connect with mc.zandacraft.com (i own and am running with the domain zandacraft.com) I'm using the cp Kloxo and would like to accomplish this, can anyone point me in the right direction or give me instructions? Thanks.
I've done it this way, I've made mc.zandacraft.com point to 96.44.148.157 but if i pointed it to 96.44.148.157:25565 it threw me an error, what do i need to do?
You can't do the port. Your uses should only have to enter mc.dfjsfjwed.com (too lazy to type it) it connect. If not they have to do mc.fhladfgdf.com:25565
That's right, I'm asking how to get away with just doing mc.zandacraft.com, because I don't know how. Actually, is it in the server config I change the ip to mc.zandacraft.com? I'll check here soon.
25565 is the default port, you don't need to add it to when you're logging in. If you pointed the A record at 96.44.148.157 and it's sync'd up (sometimes takes 24 hours), then you can connect directly to the server via mc.zandacraft.com. Remember to leave a like if this helped you out!
