Our server (Standard Minecraft Server) seems to have spawned a lot of animals (about 25k...) and we havent found a way to remove them. There is no possibility to join the server, so any solution should be possible at server command line or with a map editor without using minecraft. Singleplayer is no possibility, too, because the game freezes when I walk towards the mob chunk... Is there any possibility to remove them with bukkit? /butcher (WorldEdit) doesnt work... Need help please, dont want to delete the region or the whole server!!! Thanks
My idea was to use any of the additional commands (which I could not find yet) to remove them, after running a Bukkit Server with the same map and maybe some plugins
In Standard SSP or SMP there is no possibility to remove those animals from a map. Is there one when using a Bukkit Server?
I tried the plugins earlier, but none of them worked... I thought anyone might have had the same problem and another solution
I used Bukkit, started the Server with the necessary .bat-file, I've got a cmd-Application using Bukkit, installed the Plugin before using the destroyed map, configured it correctly, the plugin was updated and I typed the right command.
Assuming you got CraftBukkit working, check your server.log and make sure WorldEdit is initializing. You'll get something like this in the log: 2012-04-21 08:45:39 [INFO] [WorldEdit] Loading WorldEdit v1142-8c36047 You should be able to use /butcher at that point, assuming you don't lag out of the server.
ok the problem is solved, the Entities weren't animals but items :/ thanks for your help anyway! server is running again
