Minecraft server help.

Recently my server was getting the failed to bind to port address already in use error. After a few days it just vanished and my server was working again. Now im getting it AGAIN! I tried leaving the server ip= in server.properties blank and it sorta worked. But I can only connect through localhost. I wanna play with my friends please help! I have a mac and I already used port map and i port forwarded again but NONE OF THEM WORK!!!! Please anyone! HELP!

 

Open the 'Terminal' utility/application

Run the command:

sudo killall -9 java

Try again.

Its just a minecraft server. No bukkit. But this is prob the best support I can get. MC forums is okish but I think this provides better support.

 

That will still work for a non-bukkit server (my last post)

What output did the command give you?

 

I just dowloaded craftbukkit. I'm trying to make myself an admin, and also how do I stop the server!? When I start the server the command window doesn't come up. Please help.
