    I have a weird problem where non-ops aren't able to hurt mobs when firing a gun. Im using Adkos's gun pack, every things completely up to date, Im not using a permissions plugin other than basic Essentials permissions (not even the plugin, just commands players can and can't use and blocks players can and can't place). It works fine for ops. The guns shoot fine for everyone, they just won't damage anything, players and mobs, for non-ops. Nothing comes up in the server console. Anyone no why this is happening?

    Now guns will not work at all for me. I get this single error now:
    07:13 PM [SEVERE] Error occurred while enabling GunsPlus v1.3-DEV (Is it up to date?)
    So, Im guessing that suddenly guns plus just stopped working for 1.2.5
    Any eta on an update?

    He is using the DEV build, which is newer than the one you linked by a few weeks?

    Also, I'm looking forward to the next Guns version, cause right now my guns are unusable :(

    IT IS AWESOME!
    Alright, here it is:

    UPDATE:
    VERSION 1.1
    NEW FEATURES:
    • Added additions which can improve your guns heavily
    • A tripod block which can be installed and mounted by guns.
    • improved the accuracy settings a lot,
    • improved headshot detection (now you have to aim exactly on the eyes of the target to give it a headshot)
    • new system for warnings if nodes are missing in the config.
    • added the data.dat for tracking all the data coming with the tripod block
    • the tripod block has a own GUI popup for settings and an inventory
    • Added better worldguard support: if you set the flag 'TNT' to deny in a region the explosion effects of guns will not be played
    • Made guns unstackable
    FIXES:
    • Fixed 'place' effect replacing blocks
    • Fixed all (I think) issues with effects
    • many other things (can't remember)
    I am sure I forgot about thousand things but never mind you can tell me what. :p

    so now how it works:
    • Additions:
      • define an addition by take the nodes of the gun you want to change and put it into the additions.yml and make sure you defined an 'add-texture' aswell for it.
      • assign the name of the addition to the gun you want in the node additions. NOTE: you can assign multiple additions but one gun can only have one addition at once
      • ingame put the addition together with your gun in the crafting grid and get an improved version,even more deathly then before :D
      • you can define crafting recipes for the additions in the same way as for guns and ammo
    • Tripod:
      • configure the tripod in the general.yml under "tripod"
      • place a tripod block
      • shift+right click with a gun that has the node 'mountable' set to true
      • after that the gun is mounted and you can normally right click to open the inventory. Furthermore you can shift+right click now to open the settings menu
      • if you have set the tripod to manuell you can enter it by punching it once
      • you can add targets to the list if you set the tripod to automatic but currently it is not possible to activate the automatic mode.

    Just tried it out, and WOW is everything SO Much better. I am very happy with this update - guns shoot smoother, everything works better. Additionally, you cannot exit the mounted gun :(

    Did you mess with fire rate? Every value but 0 is extremely slow. It is also giving a lot of these:

    1. you can exit the mounted gun (just forgot to post it), by punching the tripod again; I know the zoom stays but just scroll once to zoom out after that.
    2. hmm, I think the slow firerate has to do with the overloaded message, I also got this message... I will look into that to find out what causes this lag.
    EDIT: fixed it, had to do with an update thread

    Hi, is there a way to make a gun only fireable by mounting it? What does the tripod give in benefits?

    No currently not, however a very good idea, because actually the tripod (if entered) gives you no apparent benefits...
