So multiple times I have downloaded the 1.2.4 version. I started with the Dev version and that did not work so I decided to wait for the recommended build to come out. I downloaded the recommended build and put it into my folder but every time I do that, the server updates and runs on 1.1. Help anyone?

Unless it's a hassle and would be a pain to fix, try cleaning out your CraftBukkit folder of everything maybe except the start.bat file. There might be a plugin or an extra file lying around in the folder that could mess up your server. Be careful when cleaning it out, and make sure to make a copy of your world folder.

Also experiment a little by maybe running the server with the plugins folder empty. Just make a copy of the plugins folder and if you get it to work, delete the new one and put the old plugin folder back in.

If you need more clarification or if that still doesn't work, just let me know and I'll try to think of another plan. Remember to COPY your world folder and plugins so you don't lose them.

Everybody talks about the start.bat file. I have never had that file. I run on osX Lion if that helps. But I will try removing some plugins.

    It's still not working...

Everybody talks about a start.bat file for a reason, because mostly everyone uses it and it's easy to use. Why don't you try converting to a start.bat? That might help. There are many guides here and on YouTube on how to make one. It's not hard at all.

Good luck to you! I myself hate shitty problems like these that don't seem to have an easier answer.

    I'd say that answers that.

tigerpoop How are you starting the server? Some sort of wrapper? Script? Auto-updater?

And have you opened Launchserver.command to see if it's auto-downloading an older verison?

I have already remade the server more than 5 times. If I have to remake it again, I don't think it's even worth the trouble.
