Inactive [FUN] DrugMod v4 - Potion effects unknown! [1.2.5-R3.0]

    This plugin allows players on your server to use a configurable item as types of drug. The duration is also customizable. All effects are completely randomized. If you have a role-playing server this would work great as this would allow you to have people role-play dealing or doing drugs (given sugar similarities to drugs).

    Features:
    Uses sugar as a type of "drug" that has potion effects. Perfect for role-playing servers!

    • Fixed an issue that caused errors to put up on console.

    • Added configurable drugs and drug duration
    • Added an additional drug
    • Fixed the cure for blindness
    • Added command (/dm) which gives info about the current state of the plugin.

    • Effects only happen when you right click with the sugar/cure.

    To-Do (Ideas always welcome!):

    - Add a sort of addiction function that would increase the drugs potency/effects*

    - Add configurable effects and allow food items to be used*

    Wow. No that wasn't done intentionally xD. Well his is that they get a chance of getting those symptoms if they get hit by a mob. Mine is if you eat sugar.

    Version 3 will be released tomorrow. However, it'll be using the latest recommended build (1.1) and not the beta builds for 1.2.3. Should still work on 1.2.3 servers though!

    Version 3 is out! I tried using the 1.1-R8 API like I promised but some of the most important lines of code were not working that should work. So it's still on the 1.2.3-R0.2

    Some of you have been getting errors in console. I fixed that in v3.1, now out.

    Looks great! I'll try suggesting this on a server I play on sometimes. It would be great if you:
    - Let you configure what item is a "drug"
    - Include the nausea effect

    The nausea effect is included. I added it for the second drug which is, by default, clay balls. Both drugs and the duration of the effects are customizable. :)

    Dame thing happened to another person. It gives them an error just still works. Try to see if it working properly even if it''s giving the error on start up.

    serious, I'd like to be able to configure which item is the drug (hopefully to an item that is a little less used then suger/reeds)

    Well you can now :) When you first run the plugin you'll get a folder called DrugMod in there will be the config.yml. You need a yml reader in order to open it and edit it correctly.

    The plugin still works, but the error absolutely SPAMS the log. I had to disable DrugMod because of the spam. I would love to see a fix for this. If I understand it correctly, it is caused by "orebfuscator" and is an easy fix.

    Can I see the log? So it can help me find what exactly it doesn't like? The log you sent before had the nullpointer exception which I know how to fix.

    Does it happen with any dyes too? (I was on RWM for a while xD. I still am but its down :( )

    I haven't tested it with dyes. Dyes are handled a little bit differently in code so I don't think it will.

    wat would you call nether warts in the config.yml? (I've tried netherStalk and NETHER_WART)

    Nether warts are a bit odd in code. From looking at the API there's two entries for nether warts there's NETHER_WARTS and NETHER_STALK so try those two exactly how I have written them here :)

    Working on v4 now that a recommended build is out. I've tested another plugin of mine that I hadn't updated for 1.2.4 and it works fine. So this should work as well.
