Strange bugs when converting map to 1.2 - All stone blocks in some chunks deleted/biome changes

    Hey there,

I run a small multiplayer server for my friends and I. I installed the latest craftbukkit snapshot for 1.2.3 (1.2.3-R0.2), and the map converted, but when I went onto the server I found that some random chunks had some sort of bug where all the stone in the chunk was deleted, but all the other blocks still stayed as normal. Even things like minecart tracks that had been on stone were still placed, but floating in air instead of on a block.

Also, the biomes seem to have changed, as a lot of water in/around buildings have turned to ice and there is snowing in desert biomes which is really strange.

On a side note, mods that I have updated do not seem to work either, I don't know if this is related in any way.

I have a backup of the world before it was converted.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar/know how to fix this?

These are some screenshots I took to help you see what I'm talking about:

As you can see, things like torches and tracks are floating in air, and there is no stone in these chunks. Also, snow has fallen on a desert biome.

Sounds like spout for the missing stone.

I do have a spout plugin - would removing it help at all? Or removing it and reconverting the backup map?
    No I didn't use MCEdit

Yes, I had to do the same early on after experiencing this problem.

Ok, I will try to reconvert the backup without spout installed

This worked great - Thanks! :D
