My name is William Guss (MadcowD). I'm an experienced C++/.NET developer based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. My develpments include many custom plugins for the Minecraft C++ Server, a easy-to-use Winsock32 Library, and a Win32 Console API for easy creation of low-level GUI applications and games.

I gained my interest of Minecraft whilst developing Epic Munchies (MMORPG). We were looking for Server Models to base our server after using Winsock32 when we found Bukkit and MC++. I eventually started playing Minecraft and found a server CakeCraft.us. When that server weny down I started development of Project Leeroy with bill1993, Leeroy_Admin1, and Gr00vyBanana.

Project Leeroy aimed to be like CakeCraft, but we were inexperienced with the Bukkit framework and how VDS really worked. The server did not reach full potential and we rebranded to CakeCraft to get the old members back.

CakeCraft started on a better foot; with our new found knowledge of game communities and the bukkit infrastructure we were able to bring CakeCraft to a higher level of popularity. During my time on the CakeCraft staff conflicts between me and bill1993 arose and eventually I left CakeCraft and it was rebranded to NyanCraft.

After taking a shory break I decided to reconnect with Groovybanana and work on a new project Insidious Minecraft. We took a new perspective on the MineCraft community and realized that however much we appreciated an extremely strict server environment, that the general MineCraft community really wants an easy to join, Vanilla-like, server that uses plugins to deepen and enrich the Vanilla experience. This knowledge helped us found the basic ideals of Insidious Minecraft and help make the server what it is today.
