hey guys, I need a NPC plugin for bukkit is it possible to have the plugin alone instead of having iconomy? Thank you and if there is a plugin out there please link i tried to search i couldn't find anything
Non player character but currently it's very limited because there's no actual hooks in Bukkit for them, you have to use a library. I'm sure when it's possible in Bukkit a few will turn up
Well I know what an NPC is, I wanted to know if he meant a player-like entity, which can't be done in bukkit.
I'm looking for something similar but I'm really looking for vendors. Just NPCs that stand there and you interact with them like a chest. you place items you want to sell in your vendor and set a price. the buyer grabs and drops an item in their inventory from your vendor and they get charged accordingly. This would let my players put items up for sale and not need to be on the server during a transaction. Would be nice if it relied on iConomy like Towny. It would also be great as a guard. Just stick an item on there for really high price if you just don't want to sell it, but that you also don't want to leave it in a vulnerable box. EDIT: Maybe make the Vendor a daily cost so people dont have a million all over.
How about a NPC that just spurts out help lines instead of spamming the chat with "Can I help you today?" whenever someone hits him.
