Can someone please update a plugin so that it works with the newer builds of bukkit please? The plugin in question is Flatlands, and it seems to no longer be working on my server. A link to it is here: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/inactive-wgen-flatlands-v0-1-makes-a-flat-world-860.20888/ Thanks to any assistance.
Elfsovereign Why do you need this? The latest Minecraft version already includes a map generator with this feature.
Well the problem is we already have a world established in the flatlands. I just want to keep it running
Have you tried CleanroomGenerator as an alternative? http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/wg...-world-multilayer-chunk-generator-1337.24791/
I employ Cleanroom for another world... Not very satisfied with it. It is very glitchy when generating new chunks. Will anyone be able to help? EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
The license for the plugin is not specified and no link to the source is provided. We would be unable to provide alterations to the plugin without explicit permission from the original author.
And if the Author is MIA? Or would it be possible to create a similar plugin, if perhaps not an exact rebirth. I have employed CleanroomGenerator to create an ocean world and to continue the existence of the flatlands, however as I said before I do not find the glitchiness of it's new chunk creation very satisfactory. What I would need is some plugin which creates the terrain outside of a Multiverse setting, preferably one would allow the editing of the flat chunks being created, as well as the option for multiple worlds. Example: I would like to be able to config it to create 2 worlds, one with 1 layer of bedrock, 59 layers of stone, 3 of dirt, 1 of grass; and another world comprising of 1 of bedrock, 5 of stone, and 20 of water. Would that be feasible? EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
hmmm ive only barley played with the chunk stuff bukkit has but yeah i could make a clone pretty easily with configable stuff...
Yes and the built-in generator sticks you at a default of level 4, causing players to see void particles.
Doesn't the server config allow flatlands now? I was right. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Server.properties level-type Determines the type of map that is generated. DEFAULT - Standard world with hills, valleys, water, etc. FLAT - A flat world with no features, meant for building. How is it that one would go about to create such a change in an already existing world? Moreover the greater draw of this proposed plugin is the configurability of it. The ability to designate, say, that it would be a flat world comprised of water making an ocean. Or perhaps an unending desert. Simply putting "FLAT" would only make a world of Grass, unless I am mistaken. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Well i dont know about you but I just tried the plugin at http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/inactive-wgen-flatlands-v0-1-makes-a-flat-world-860.20888/ as it is and it works fine.
