I've been running my bukkit server since 1.8.1 and rarely had any issues. The current issue, I can't figure out. There was an electrical issue that caused me to lose power to my system while running my server. When everything came back on and I started it back up, the server cmd began throwing repeating errors, literally over 100 times a second. It even takes over 10 seconds to recognize the stop command. I've restarted the server a few times and it changed nothing.

    Code:

I just tried a fresh jar file and the problem continues.

Does not work. Chunkster can't find the path and Region Fixer doesn't recognize the world. I did follow the instructions properly. Chunkster seems to need a different file format for the worlds. I'm not sure about Region Fixer, but it says the world isn't even there. I know that there are other server types that use different file types for worlds. This may be why they don't work. Any other ideas?

Please could you say what command you used to run region fixer, and the full location to your world folder. Thanks

I used the exact command that was in the instructions. I copied and pasted it and made sure it was right. I don't see why the location of my folder matters as long as I typed the proper path, which I did. When it didn't work, I tried the server folder and then the folders inside the world folder. Nothing worked.

Please could you give the command, and the full path to the world folder. Thanks :)

If you can't understand which command I used after I just told you, then we have a problem. Again, the exact path to my folder does not matter. It is not relevant to the situation. The only thing that matters is that I typed it properly. What would me telling you my folder path accomplish? You don't have access to my files to verify it and make sure I typed it properly.

I typed everything properly and it did not work. Do you have any more ideas? If not, then I need someone else to help me.

Remove the quotes around the world in the command. Also ensure that capitalization in the world path is correct.

When people ask for help here, it is generally because they need it. There are several of us that regularly help out on this forum, and if we deem it relevant or necessary for you to post something, then there is a good chance it is. We could have prevented a lot of wasted time. The sooner we can check whether or not the guide works, the sooner we can work towards fixing your problem. And I understood which command you used, I was checking to ensure you copy & pasted it correctly because if both Chunkster and Region Fixer can not find your path then you are doing something wrong :)

I am not a jerk, I am just trying to help you work out your problem. No hard feelings :)

Ok... You should add in your guide to take the quotes out. That was the problem.

The region fixer did find the corrupted file. Unfortunately, it was the entire region that EVERYTHING I built was on. My town, NPCs, spawn point, and much more that took a long time to build are now gone. That does not fix my problem as I could have just made a new map if I wanted to start over. It had to make an entirely new map. I don't call that fixing anything.

I see no point in running region fixer, if the only thing it's going to do is tell you that you have to make a new map anyway. I could have saved all the trouble and just made a new map instead of going through all that just for it to tell me I have to do it anyway.

UPDATE: I managed to fix it with MCEdit. A friend told me how to repair regions with that and it worked perfectly. I already had MCEdit, but didn't know it had a repair function. I wish I knew that sooner. It would have saved me all this trouble.

UPDATE 2: Deleting that file added random structures to my map after I fixed it that have broken parts of my town. I would not recommend Region Fixer or deleting files as the instructions say to ANYONE unless you are willing to lose random parts of your map or have things randomly ruined by the new map that will be generated.

Good that everything is fixed, although the behavior you describe after using RF is very strange and not something I have experience before (fixed over 150 worlds :p ).

    Have fun :)

You are a ungrateful dick, why be such an ass when people are trying to help you? I love how you’re asking for help to fix something, you had no idea how to fix it and now you’re the expert, telling people that they don’t know what to do and questioning their methods.

It’s really too bad someone helped you, people like yourself should not run servers.

Well, I'm sorry you feel that way. That wasn't my intention at all and I meant nothing hateful by anything I said. It just seemed to me at the time that I was not being listened to. If you want to be hateful, do it somewhere else. I'm glad someone tried to help me. I feel sorry for anyone you try to help as I'm sure you'll become vulgar and spiteful the moment you misinterpret something they say. That was totally uncalled for.

And besides that, Pez didn't seem to take offense to any of it and even if he did he continued trying to help me. He didn't become vulgar or hateful. It is completely unnecessary and you had no reason or right to do it, especially since it had nothing to do with you. Everything turned out fine, then you decided to personally assault me. Not cool.
