I must admit I myself did not know about this, due to how our workflow runs (I implement the API I get from the Java development team, the IDs correspond to the data imput of an API call).

An apology to McMyAdmin and it's users if we caused any unpleasant feelings regarding this issue.

Be assured that the functionalities we implemented are not "copypasted" as you may say, but self crafted, as everything from our panel and java wrapper.

I invite you to have a look at the rest of the panel, since schedules are just a small part of it :)

And welcome to the bukkit forums, I hope you'll enjoy your stay!

  2. SpaceBukkit still has many features that McMyAdmin doesn't. Which are plugin installation through Bukget, configuring plugins through the plugin page, feeding/healing/kicking/banning/killing/oping/gamemode players with one button click. Also the Worlds page with Chunkster and MapAutotrim aswell as downloading any version of bukkit simply by selecting the version number or picking one of the recommended versions.

I have had McMyAdmin for long, but I do think its missing a lot of these features which we all want from a controlpanel. I'm not saying McMyAdmin is bad, its okay, but could have more features. I don't know at all what will McMyAdmin 2 be like, but I'm going to myself stick with SpaceBukkit for now. I don't personally see a reason to spend £10 (or even £2.50 due to the offer) on a controlpanel when theres pretty similiar one for free.

Obiviously SpaceBukkit doens't yet function as good as McMyAdmin does, but thats expected. Its still closed beta. I'm surprised at how good it is though even like this. I've used it now for a while, or actually almost since closed beta was available. I've had great experiements with it aswell as my Admins who also use this controlpanel.

If you like simple controlpanel, go for McMyAdmin. If you like a bit more advanced controlpanel, go for SpaceBukkit. Thats my opinion. With SpaceBukkit you wont have to even touch your FTP anymore to install/remove or configure your plugins.

Before we all start a war of controlpanels I just want to comment on this, Firstly McMyAdmin is getting most if not all of these features you have listed and even some more that spacebukkit does not have, Secondly you pay the price of mcmyadmin for the support and comfort that your developer and your only method of support does not vanish into thin air not just the panel its self.

I have seen many a panel come and go, while I'm not saying this one will "vanish" I just don't see it as a solid competition for McMyAdmin.

Just one thing about the BukkitDev installer, as you well know many BukkitDev files come in zips, it would be handy if it was extracted from the file instead of bluntly shunning us with 'unexpected file type'.

We already have .zip files support.

    Only time will tell.

As for the whole "SpaceBukkit copied McMyAdmin in some areas" even if that was true, who cares? Companies steal ideas from each other all the time. What they use they usually improve upon. In the end it just gives the end user more to play.

The way I see it, MCMA2 has only been promised some features, whereas spacebukkit already has these features. As far as I know, MCMA only have Phonic working on it and no one else.

Can I let someone try step 3 of the install part without giving him the data for step 2? (MySQL and such)

If you've done step 1&2 already just copy-paste the link to them and they can continue ;)

@Jamy Is necessary to be a Closed Beta member to translate SpaceBukkit into another language? I have post in the SBForums thread anyway :)

Mr. Anty I suggest you add what you said a few pages ago to the front page to hopefully prevent more from asking the same question. :)

Sorry about the recent inactivity on my part. I am having some severe family issues, and lost a bit of will to work.
I need a few days for myself, I hope everybody understands.

I'll be back on track as soon as I'll feel able to.

    Have fun in the meantime,

Take all the time you need, we may be excited about the project but your personal life is much more important :)
Sorry to hear about the family issues.

    Take it easy!

Quick question to Java developers: what would you like to be able to access when creating an addon? With current version, you can easily register new methods which can be called by the panel or using the PHP SDK.

Different tabs in the web-part, and maybe a Socket something to show some data. (should I explain in more detail? I think so, but time is so limited these days )

I will take suggestions for the Java part.

Actually, you can create an addon which will, for example, reply the list of all vanished players if you're using VanishNoPacket. You can make addon give information about everything, or even execute actions.

If possible, please explain quickly what you meant.

    Wait, never mind.
I was thinking about a webpage which displays a list of all skills there are, with levels.
But then I remembered this is an administration thingy, not a CMS.
So ye, it's not really needed :)

Antariano Hey this looks good! When do you think the public version will be out? (Also I was looking at the website and under the website's "feature" mode, you have "to" spelled wrong. It says "Awesomeness. Nice yo meet you" Or is it supposed to be like that?):)
