I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

I'm on the latest bukkit, and for some reason when I try to roll back a user, it constantly says "error, check log", and there's a bunch of console garbage in the logfile. I'm connected to a DB and everything, so what's going on? I'm on LogBlock 1.50.

I love this tool, I am just wondering is there any way this plugin can log to a file on the server? Eg within the plugins/lbtoolblock folder or something. My SQL database is on a different server and can generate lots of entries to be written to the database, causing a fair bit of lag

I'm not sure what i should do to change this, When the server restarts it starts happening the moment somebody places a block and does it every time a player places a block after. It is also using a ton of ram and is making my server lag then Crash after a few hours. If there is any way to fix this please share Thanks.
I am running the newest version of Logblock off the Dev Site.1.50 from here and build 84 were giving the same errors.
    EDIT - Also getting http://pastebin.com/JzRNczne
EDIT2 - Logblock's going through around 600 MB of ram in 5 Min :/ My server crashes ever hour now :/ Think i got to remove Logblock and not catch griefers at this rate cause its easier to manually fix griefs and let them get away with it then have the server crash every hour and only log 50-60% of everything...
Lastly my Server hosts said that LB or MYSQL dosnt support -60,000 X & Z or 60,000 X & Z is that true? I dont believe that to be true...

Erhm, "less precisely"? Can you explain that? I for one removed spout, since the only thing we used it for was chest logging in LogBlock.

if writing to a database on a separate server causes lag, imagine the lag when you try to use a local flat file!

As long as you've got reasonable bandwidth to your MySQL server, having an external database is the ideal situation. If things are getting clogged up, there must be something terribly wrong with either your connection to the db server or the dbserver itself. In a typical situation, LogBlock's load is just not that significant.

    -32,000 - 32,000
You need to change to x and z columns data types:
    https://github.com/DiddiZ/LogBlock/wiki/FAQ
As the chest close event is missing, the chest stay open longer, so it's more like that another player opens the same chest and his actios get logged for both players.

Hm, yeah, edit the plugin.yml inside LB and set the logblock.hide permissions from op to false
    Disable logging.playerInfo in config.yml
/lb rb player <myname> block lava since 1h
No ingame command yet, you have to query the mysql server and be using latest dev.

But in game I asked a friend to break a block so i could test and when I try to find any changes it just says "Block changes at -X:Y:Z in world: No results found" even thought I watched him break the block any ideas?

Make sure loggion options are enabled in world config ("/lb logging" ingame) and the queue isn't overloaded ("/lb queuesize" > 100). If latter /lb savequeue and double the value of timePerRun in config.yml.

I am getting some crazy errors after one of my admins travelled really far into the nether and then made a portal exit to the normal world. You can see the location in the error that is really far away from spawn "-80373"

Happens every time a block is placed there

Feature request/info request if its already possible. Im wanting to prefix the tables so instead of lb-chest lb-main i can have lb2-chest lb2-main. The reason for this is i would like to run 2 instances of logblock on 1 database since i have 2 servers both using logblock. Would be nice to run them on same database.

You already can, it's save to share the players table, so you just need to change to data table names, there is a table config entry in world configs, just set it to the name you want :D
