Hello. I recently joined the Bukkit Community, I love Bukkit to bits, But I have one problem...

It uses 100% Of my CPU?
Can I have any help with this or is it coded like that?
Because everything lags when its 100%.
    Thanks. :)

Im using a Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit.
    1GB Ram. ( For only 2 people )
Dual core Intel Celeron @ 2.5Ghz
    Any Problems with that?

Running the server and minecraft on the same computer at the same time, will cause it to do that.

It really depends on how well your computer is built, mine also goes to 100% because i only have 4gb of ram and a 2 core cpu. so i get maxed out alot.

This will be why, it's probably not Bukkit using all your CPU - It's both running Bukkit and Minecraft at the same time that will cause 100% CPU. Your computer has to do all the processing for both of them, when I'm testing my plugins and running the server and the client on the same computer my computer gets very laggy as well and usually hits 100% CPU.

Try running the server without opening Minecraft and get your friend to connect, then see how much CPU you are using or if you have another computer - play Minecraft on there. It shouldn't be 100%.

Playing on another computer or buying a server from a hosting company - you can find quite cheap ones around if you only want 2 - 6 players on your server. The good thing about renting a server is that it is on 24/7 as well.

It all depends on what host your using, I'll have to take a look at BuyCraft and see. I'll give you an answer soon.

Why not just upgrade your PC? It might be more expensive in the short-term, but you could buy a decent computer for less that *some* hosting plans. I'm using an "ancient" Q6600 @ 2.4ghz with 4ghz RAM for a server with two people to test on, and it does fine when playing and running server off both. Celerons are not suitable for much more than light office application usage.
